Eighty Mile Beach is a seemingly endless stretch of coastline between Broome and Port Hedland, where red desert meets turquoise sea. Despite the name, the beach actually runs for over 200 kilometres—flat, wide, and almost entirely untouched.

It’s a peaceful spot with a strong sense of remoteness. We stayed at the caravan park right near the shore, just steps from the beach. Sunsets here are unforgettable—fiery skies over a mirror-flat ocean, with nothing but the sound of waves and distant bird calls.

The beach is also a haven for shell collectors and shorebirds, including migratory waders that travel thousands of kilometres to rest here. Whether you’re beachcombing, fishing, or just soaking in the solitude, Eighty Mile Beach offers a quiet beauty that’s hard to beat.
