Hopetoun Falls

Hopetoun Falls is one of the Otways’ most photogenic spots, tucked away in a fern-filled valley just off a quiet forest road. The walk to the falls is short but steep, leading down through thick rainforest to a viewing platform that offers a front-row seat to the cascading water.

The falls drop dramatically over a rocky ledge into a deep, shaded pool, surrounded by moss-covered boulders and towering ferns. Even from the top lookout, the view is impressive—but it’s worth making the descent to feel the cool mist and hear the roar of the falls up close. It’s a classic Otways experience—wild, green, and unforgettable.
