Set on the banks of the Norman River in Queensland’s Gulf Country, Normanton is a small outback town with plenty of character. It’s best known for its connection to the Gulf Savannah railway and the famous Gulflander train, as well as the life-sized replica of “Krys,” the largest crocodile ever shot in Australia. The town has a laid-back, frontier feel — a true slice of the Gulf’s history and charm.
