Sawtell

Sawtell is a long-time family favourite on the Coffs Coast, known for its easygoing feel and the way the beach, river, and town all sit comfortably together. It’s the kind of place that works just as well for a relaxed day out as it does for a longer stay.

The river mouth is where many of our best memories were made. On calm days, the kids used to love floating down the river, carried gently toward the sandy entrance where it meets the sea. It’s a simple pleasure, but one that captures what makes Sawtell so special.

Once you step away from the water, the town adds another layer of appeal. Sawtell’s main street is home to a great old-style picture theatre along with some lovely small bars and restaurants, all within easy walking distance.
