On Location - Stockton Sands

OK, enough of the formalities.

My latest shoot has been at the beautiful Stockton Sands.

The 32 km stretch of dunes from Newcastle to Port Stephens have formed over thousands of years from sand washed ashore and blown inland by the wind. The dunes form the largest continuous mobile coastal sand mass in the Southern Hemisphere

An early morning start on a whisper quiet morning and I have the place to myself. Using the low angle of the sun enabled me to capture the contrasting ripples in the sand leading the eye onto distant dunes.

If you can't deal with those early mornings, especially at this time of the year, there's always something happening at sunset! The expanse of dunes and the endless Stockton Beach is an incredible sight.

Hope to see you on Saturday.

Regards,

Richard and the Team
