Lyttleton Harbour (31006)

Captain James Cook in his ship the Endeavour first sighted the Canterbury peninsula on 16 February 1770. It was not until 1827 that Captain William Wiseman, a flax trader, named the harbour (now known as Lyttleton Harbour) Port Cooper.
