Brooms Head

Brooms Head is a relaxed coastal village where the beach and the headland do most of the talking. The main beach curves gently along the town, while the rocky headland offers elevated views north and south that are especially good in the early morning or late afternoon. It’s a place that feels easy and unpretentious — park the car, walk down to the sand, and let the day unfold at its own pace.

One of the big drawcards of Brooms Head is how close it sits to Yuraygir National Park. Just beyond town, the landscape quickly becomes more rugged and natural, with long stretches of undeveloped coastline and coastal heath. The drive through the park toward Sandon is well worth the time — a scenic coastal run with ocean glimpses, quiet beaches, and that sense of being properly off the beaten path.
