Ellenborough Falls

Ellenborough Falls is one of the tallest single-drop waterfalls in the Southern Hemisphere, plunging dramatically into a deep forested gorge in the NSW hinterland. The lookout gives you an immediate sense of scale, with the water free-falling over the cliff edge and disappearing into mist below.

Walking tracks lead both to the top and down into the gorge, where the falls tower above you and the surrounding rainforest feels cool and enclosed. After rain, the sound and power of the waterfall are especially impressive, while quieter days highlight the textures of the rock face and the lush greenery around it.
