Wadbilliga National Park

Wadbilliga National Park is an extensive wilderness area in south-eastern New South Wales, known for its rugged gorges, ancient plateaux and deep river valleys carved by the Tuross River and its tributaries. The landscape features dramatic granite rock formations, steep cliffs and lush vegetation in a setting that feels remote and largely untouched by development.

One of the park’s highlights is Tuross Falls, a spectacular waterfall where the river plunges over rocky escarpments into wooded gorges. Walks to the falls and along river valleys reveal unseen corners of this wild landscape, with shaded creeklines and granite outcrops that change with the light throughout the day.

Another noteworthy feature is the Cascades, where water flows over a series of rock steps and pools set amid forested surroundings. Trails along the cascades and viewing platforms give immersive access to scenic waterways and pristine nature, rewarding those who venture deeper into the park’s heart.

Wadbilliga National Park is ideal for self-reliant bushwalkers, campers and photographers who seek solitude in a true wilderness setting. Remote 4WD tracks like the Wadbilliga Road traverse the park’s interior through diverse terrain, while numerous valleys, gullies and ridgelines invite exploration of this dramatic and pristine piece of south-east Australian bushland.
