Avalon Beach stretches for nearly 600 metres along the Northern Beaches coastline, with golden sands framed by rocky headlands at each end. The southern headland features the historic Avalon Beach Ocean Pool, a saltwater pool carved into the rocks that has been a feature of the beach since the 1920s.
