Narrabeen

Narrabeen is a classic Northern Beaches destination centred around one of Sydney’s most iconic ocean beaches. The long sandy stretch runs from Long Reef in the south to the entrance of Narrabeen Lagoon in the north, with multiple surf breaks and plenty of space for swimming, walking and beach activities.

North Narrabeen Beach is famed for its consistent surf and was declared a National Surfing Reserve, helping make it a breeding ground for many champion surfers. Along the shoreline you’ll find beachside parks, surf life saving clubs and picnic areas — perfect for relaxed beachfront days as well as more active pursuits.

Narrabeen’s expanse of sand is also great for long walks at low tide, fishing off the beach or near the lagoon entrance, and watching the changing light at sunrise and sunset. On calmer days the lagoon and surrounding reserves add another layer of natural beauty to the area, with walking tracks around the water providing a peaceful contrast to the surf.
